This week, three movies make their way into theaters. Will any of them be able to de-throne “Inception” from the No. 1 spot? Read on to see descriptions of each new movie and see my answer below.
*Though the picture for the following trailer makes the movie look like it’s filled with sex, I don’t think the movie is, and the trailer is approved for all audiences. (I’m skipping this because it’s going to be dumb, tired of these leftover Cold War-type spy movies.)
“Salt”, starring Angelina Jolie, is about a woman named Evelyn Salt who works for the CIA. During an interrogation she is accused by the subject as being a spy. The movie follows her after she flees.

“Ramona and Beezus” stars Selena Gomez, who, to my limited experience with kids’ shows, is from Disney Channel shows. The book that this movie is based off of is considered a classic, but I’m not so sure.

*Warning* This trailer is violent and disturbing.
“Valhalla Rising” stars Mads Mikkelsen (James Bond’s blood-weeping enemy in “Casino Royale”, “King Arthur” ‘s expert swordsman), as a man who rises from slavery to fight. I’ve heard that the movie has very little dialogue and is mostly visual eye-candy. But that’s all rumor.

So in summary, “Inception” will remain #1 at the box office this weekend.
